Big Green Fun Day

A full FREE day of performances, creativity, and action for our planet! Suitable for all ages.

Enjoy performances & workshops:

• 1pm – 2pm Annapurna Indian Dance & Storytelling – Experience the beauty of Indian dance, music, and storytelling with this vibrant Halifax-based company. Their performance will explore humanity’s connection with nature and caring for our environment.
• 2pm – 3pm Park Youth Theatre Performance & Workshop – A short performance and interactive session by Northern Broadsides’ youth theatre, exploring the impact of littering and the power of young people in taking action.

Engage in activities and stalls, from 11am – 4pm:

• Nature Trail & Family Scavenger Hunt – Explore the wonders of the Outback Garden with a self-led family scavenger hunt! Wander through native plants, spot hidden critters, and discover the unique textures, colours, and scents of the wildlife.
• Recycling craft activities with Creative Flare – Get hands-on with a variety of fun craft activities perfect for all skill levels.
• Clothes swap with Calderdale Youth Climate Action Group – Bring your pre-loved clothes and exchange them for something new to you.
• Repair Café – Give your broken items a second chance.

Enjoy a unique communal evening meal, from 6pm – 7:30pm with Anjum Malik:
This is more than just a meal – expect live poetry, storytelling, and performances to celebrate our shared commitment to the environment.

Only vegetarian and vegan global dishes will be served. Halal friendly.

For those observing Ramadan: Dates and water will be provided for breaking fast, and a prayer space will be available.
