We are now halfway through Calderdale’s Year of Culture and we’ve seen some fantastic events across the borough!
Summer brought children's arts and crafts activities across the borough through our Tinker, Make, Create roadshows, culminating in a fantastic festival day at Eureka! People's Park Festival also brought over 13,000 people into the park over the weekend for a cultural celebration with music, film, and amazing local vendors.
Northern Rascals debuted their expressive dance performance Reviving Her at Square Chapel to enthusiastic reviews, Happy Valley Pride lit up Hebden Bridge with their week-long festival, bringing famous drag acts, creative activities, and a whole lot of community spirit to Calder Holmes Park.
Our CultureDale team have many more collaborative, creative events to come this year, including Walk with Little Amal and the Anne Lister Memorial Weekend at the end of September, and many more CultureDale-funded projects across the borough such as Welland Festival from Curious Motion, Chocolate Has a Name, and Champion Jack Dupree.
