Would you like to have a go at Crown Green Bowling?

On Saturday 26^th April 2025, Old Town Bowling Clubbis holding a open day for anyone who would like to try Crown Green Bowling. Allequipment will be provided, all you need is to wear flat shoes on the bowlinggreen.

From 10am to 12noon there will be fun bowling run by qualified coaches from Bowls Buddies (www.bowlsbuddies.com) along with more serious try your hand at Crown Green bowling sessions led by seasoned members from Old Town Bowling Club.

And from 1pm to 3pm we’ll run a fun and friendly bowling competition.

You can drop in and out at any time during the day. Whether you just want to do something a bit different for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning, or you’re interested in learning how to play, everyone is welcome.

If you’ve ever wanted to have a go at Crown Green bowling, this is your chance. You can join the fun at Wadsworth Community Centre, Billy Lane, Old Town, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8RY.

Old Town Bowling Club run a bowls academy throughout summer on Saturday mornings from 10am to 12noon (weather permitting). The sessions are suitable for everyone, whether they’re new to bowling, thinking of returning to the game, or just want a bit of practice.

The academy offers free tuition, free equipment and all ages,babilities and levels of experience welcome. No need to book, just come on downto the club.

Do you want to try Crown Green Bowling?

To launch our 2025 bowls academy, OTBC are running a FREE event & EVERYBODY is welcome.

10am to 12noon

Try bowling session for all ages and abilities.

Bowls Buddies coaches will run some sessions.

12noon to 1pm: A bit of a break, refreshments available

1pm to 3pm: Friendly bowling competition, prizes to be won.

Drop in at any time. If you can't make it on the day, bowls academy sessions will take place throughout summer on Saturday from 10am.
