Access Champions Volunteer Training

Are you a Calderdale based organisation with volunteers who would like to become Access Champions as part of the Year of Culture?

We have free training available to support you and your volunteers to provide excellent customer service to disabled people, as well as their families and carers.

Upcoming training dates:

Thursday 20^th February 10am– 1pm at Orange Box, Blackledge, Halifax, HX1 1AF

Tuesday 18^th March 5 – 8pm at Orange Box, Blackledge, Halifax, HX1 1AF

Thursday 10^th April 3 – 6pm at Orange Box, Blackledge, Halifax, HX1 1AF

This training will be co-delivered by disabled people in partnership with Visits Unlimited.

What will be covered:

This training programme is designed to provide volunteers with the support and guidance needed to offer a warm and inclusive welcome to every visitor to Year of Culture events and beyond.

You will get a t-shirt and a high-visibility vest to wear on event days, as well as a bag of free resources to support visitors at your venue.
